Obtained Approval for Commissioned Sales of Insurance Products for Corporate Clients
Pursuant to Article 138, Paragraph 3 of the Postal Service Privatization Act (Act No. 97 of 2005), Japan Post Insurance Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Masami Ishii, Director and President, CEO, Representative Executive Officer) submitted new business applications to the Commissioner of the Financial Services Agency and the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications with respect to the commissioned sales of term insurance for corporate executives as well as general welfare group term insurance, with a view to enhancing commissioned sales of insurance products for corporate clients, and obtained today approval of these businesses from both authorities.
We believe these new operations will contribute to providing better convenience to customers as well as to ensuring the stability of our business.
